Need help here is the introduction to assist you in your quest to help with posting
Competitions on compingforfun.com to share with your wonderful new comping friends.

Starting a New Topic

Browse to the board where you wish to post and click the New Topic button (positioned by default at both the top and the bottom of the board, as shown in the User Help Introduction), which should take you to the Start new topic screen. While this presents a number of options, the two most important are the Subject field and main Message field (not labeled as such, but obvious by its size). So enter your subject and start to type (or paste) your message into the main text area, noting that a message missing either a subject or a body will not be accepted for posting until it has both. If you're happy with your plain text message, you can then post it by clicking the Post button and/or preview it first by clicking the Preview button, but there are many further options available to make things that little bit more interesting.

More information can be found by visiting http://compingforfun.com.au/index.php?action=help;page=post where you can find many tricks to make posting
at compingforfun.com a enjoyable experience  Smiley

There appears to be a problem with members being able to 'Move' their own posts, we have admin looking into it, with some luck he will get it sorted asap, will let you all know when it is full operative again, sorry  Cry

No Sconic You dont need glasses Yet and your Not looking in the wrong place but at the Moment When posting a comp You need to go through the calendar And click on any date And then u Will find that You can enter the closing date But just make sure u change the closing date as what ever day u clicked on it will close then

So Far that is the only way we can post comps Till admin gets around to a post it button  Wink

Hope this helps

Yes that red asterix at the top is for linked events and can also be clicked on if you need to modify the date and/or comp details.

Just bumping this for anyone who is a bit nervous about posting.

There's helpful hints above on how to post and also how to link your own posts to the calender  Grin

If you have posted a comp, you can go back and link your own posts to the calender by scrolling down to the bottom of the post and clicking the 'link to calender' button.  This can only be done on your own posts though Smiley

Also for any comps where you cant find the closing date, please post them in the 'no closing date' section and one of the moderators will fix anything that needs fixing Smiley

If your not sure where to post a comp, post it in the 'confused not sure where' section

If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask, you can PM a moderator or post here, even if you think your question sounds silly, we were all beginners once
